When should I feed Omega 3 Aid to my dog?

Omega 3 Aid should be fed to all dogs that exhibit dry, flaky skin and poor coat condition.

What are the key benefits of using Omega 3 Aid for Dogs?

Helps maintain a healthy, glossy coat – Hemp Oil provides the perfect balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. This is essential to help maintain the normal moisture content within skin cells and hair follicles to support a soft, silky, shiny coat and normal moulting cycles.

Helps maintain healthy skin – Omega 3 fatty acids and natural vitamin E help to maintain a protective barrier in the skin and help balance Omega 6 fatty acids to maintain the natural anti-inflammatory actions of the body. A deficiency in certain types of fatty acids can result in a dull, dry coat.

Helps maintain normal moulting cycles – Fat soluble antioxidants like vitamin E tocotrienols help to ‘mop-up’ free radicals. The tocotrienol form of Vitamin E is 40 to 60 times more readily recycled than other forms of vitamin E in membrane systems. Healthy skin means healthy hair follicles and a shiny coat and normal moulting cycles.

Helps maintain good fertility status – Omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin E antioxidants have been found to be useful in supporting the quality and mobility of sperm, which is essential for breeding stud dogs. Sperm contain high concentrations of very important EPA and DHA fatty acids that are metabolized from the correct balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6.

Contains 4 Active Nutraceuticals

Nutraceuticals are nutritional substances that provide additional health benefits.  Through the addition of the following nutraceuticals, Joint Aid provides a complementary support for all dogs.

The Unique Oatinol Delivery System

Oatinol is a natural high quality oil based concept developed by and unique to GWF Nutrition. When incorporated into the feed it supplies four active nutraceuticals to:

  • Maintain gut cell integrity.
  • Maintain the lining of the gut.
  • Support the immune system.
  • Aid the absorption of active ingredients, vitamins and trace elements.

1 – Galactolipid Natural Emulsifiers

Galactolipids are a combination of sugar and fat molecules that create the perfect medium for the absorption of active ingredients across the gut wall.

2 – Natural Tocotrienol Antioxidants

Tocotrienol antioxidants are a natural form of vitamin E. They are 40-60 times more readily available than other forms of vitamin E and help to maintain the integrity of the cells forming the lining of the gut to aid absorption.

3 – Oat Derived Beta Glucans

Beta Glucans have prebiotic properties that support beneficial bacteria in the gut to promote healthy absorption.

4 – Phospholipids

Phospholipids have emulsifying properties and have been shown to actively influence nutrient digestibility and absorption.
